Prenames .eu Registrar

June 25, 2005 - Prenames has become .eu Registrar to be able to register domain with this new extension as of January 2006.

Many improvements in the new Management system

August 1, 2004 - In the past few months we've been building hard on our new Domain Management System (DMS). The first results are being tested right now. The DMS has been build from scratch but will be fully compatible with our current system. In the new DMS you can expect to see the following:

• Form generator: if you need a form for the registration/ transfer of a domain, it will be send to you as a pdf document automatically.
• Faster and clearer interface - registrations will be processed much faster.
• Online modifications - from now on a modification or deletion can be send to us online.
• Better status indication - we improved the way you can tell the status of your domain.
• Error checking - only until the demands for the domain have been met, you'll be able to enter it for registration or transfer. We check specifically for name servers and documents.
• Additional paid services - you'll be able to use the Prenames name servers or a fallback mail server.
• SOAP interface - to integrate Prenames DMS in your own management system.
• Multiple language support.
• More automated domain registration and transfers
• RSS feeds with information about status codes.

Every day new parts are being added, but not all of them will be available from the moment of introduction. We'll keep you posted about the developments.

Start new website

July 30, 2004 - We launched our new website. The new -fresher- look will mark the beginning of a new period in which many changes will take effect andwhich will benefit you as our client.

This website will be brought to you in three languages (Dutch, German, English). When it becomes neccessary we will add more. An increasing number of companies from all over the world has chosen for Prenames because of our fast service, the largest number of domain names and the bext price.

Prenames is being used in several hundred Dutch, German, Belgian, Spanish, Autralian and American ISP's and brand name organization.

Number of domains reaches 104

March 1, 2005 - As of today, Prenames is able to register domain name from the following countries:

• India (.in)
• United Arab Emirates (.ae)
• Taiwan (com.tw and org.tw)
• Russia (.ru and .su)
• Japan (.jp)
• China (.cn and .com.cn)

This means that the total number of available domains has reached 104. Also, the .name domain can be registered as a second level domain, instead of 'firstname.lastname.name'.

Domain name price cuts

March 1, 2004 - all prices for Prenames domains have been cut substantially because of the ever growing volumes we register. This means we cannot only work more efficient, but also are able to get better prices at the different Registries. Since the constant costs of the 'Registry fees' are an ever decreasing part of our total costs, which benefits you as a customer!

Fake invoice Domain Registry of America

21 February, 2004 - Once again the malafide organisation Domain Registry of America (a.k.a. Domain Registry of Europe) is sending fake invoices from the Philipines so that it seems a renewal fee needs to be paid for a domain name. You can advice your clients to ignore this invoice, the domain name is not in any danger.

Prenames signs Belgian DomainEthix Code

14 February, 2004 - to emphasize how serious we take domain names, Prenames has signed the Belgian code of conduct, called 'DomainEthix'.
